3.0 How to record customer damage on Mobile

Overview

The Customer Damage feature in Softbase 3.0 acts as a flag on work orders, indicating that the damage was caused by the customer rather than a mechanical failure. This feature can be used for both rental and customer-owned units and helps ensure proper documentation for billing and liability purposes.

How to enable customer damage

  1. Enable Customer Damage

    • On the mobile app, navigate to the relevant work order.
    • Toggle the Customer Damage switch to "On" to flag the work order.

 

  1. Impact on Work Order

    • Once enabled, the system will automatically check the Customer Damage/Abuse box in Service 1 of the work order.

  1. Additional Documentation

  1. Use the app’s upload feature to add photos or comments that document the damage for further reference.

 

  1. Important Notes

    • Purpose: This feature flags damage caused by customers, ensuring proper billing. It helps distinguish these cases from mechanical failures.
    • Applicability: Suitable for both rental and customer-owned equipment.
    • Limitations: It functions as a notification only and does not link to inspections or codes (X, R, S).
