Labor Rounding is a practice of adding additional time to a labor entry in order to support ease of billing and payroll.
Labor rounding in Softbase is standardized to reach the next highest 5, 6, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes. This setting is located under Settings > Administration > Company > Invoicing tab > Softbase Mobile Parameters (see screenshot below).
Examples using a Start Time of 8:00am and an End Time of 10:07am.
5 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:10 / 2.17 hours
6 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:12 / 2.2 hours
10 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:10 / 2.17 hours
15 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:15 / 2.25 hours
20 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:20 / 2.33 hours
30 Minute Rounding: 8:00 - 10:30 / 2.5 hours
